Martin Taylor has left Microsoft
Martin Taylor has officially left the Microsoft HQ. This comes after the high profile exit of Microsoft’s NO.1 Blogger - Robert Scoble. Seems like there’s trouble brewing in Microsoft land and who knows how many will be leaving in the near future. Could it be they’ve align themselves with the Good Force aka Open Source/Linux ? We’ll stay tuned to find out and let you know…
This is definitely going to cause some disruption to the rollout of Windows Live.
Microsoft confirmed Martin Taylor, named in March to be corporate vice president of Windows Live and MSN marketing, is gone after a 13-year career that included high-profile roles close to Chief Executive Steve Ballmer.
In the past Mr. Taylor led Redmond’s efforts against Linux as the open-source initiative threatened to undermine Microsoft’s proprietary software. As the man in charge of Microsoft’s “Get the Facts” campaign, Mr. Taylor often released data and studies to convince customers that Windows-based software scored over Linux in terms of costs and ease of use.
